I disagree with Philadelphia 's Curfew for teenagers ! Curfew is taking on a whole new thing that is, more official meaning for teenagers and pre-teens in Philadelphia. Philadelphia police were being kept busy Friday night(August 11,2011) arresting dozens of teens caught breaking the city's new 9:00pm curfew.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter enacted the new curfew after three incidents of random attacks by groups of teens in Old City, Center City, and Fairmount Park. Where the mayor is combating marauding mobs of kids known as "FLASHMOBS'' by ordering anyone under 18 to be off the streets by 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights in problem-plagued areas of the city like downtown. Parents could face fines of $500 if their children are picked up, or charges of child neglect if they don't fetch their children. Nutter says parents of teens who participate in the attacks will face legal sanctions. The mayor adds that programs at youth centers and help for parents will be offered as curfew enforcement continues. I hate this change but i understand why they made it because most kids in Philadelphia are bad, don't listen and disrespectful.
Not all kids that are out at night are Flashmobers !!
